How We Help

Little Feathers Preschool Program Pala California

Our Services

At our preschool, speech-language and occupational therapy services work hand-in-hand to support the whole child. Our licensed therapists collaborate closely with teachers and families, and often with each other, to help children develop the communication, motor, and self-regulation skills needed for meaningful participation in school and everyday life. Through play-based, individualized, and hands-on approaches, children grow in areas like articulation, fine motor coordination, language development, sensory processing, and social interaction. Our multi-disciplinary team approach fosters collaboration to address overlapping areas of development, provides opportunities for co-treatments as necessary, and ensures an optimal, cohesive approach to therapy.

Occupational Therapy Assessment

By using a range of assessment tools, the evaluation helps spot areas that need improvement and points us in the right direction for delivering effective, client-centered therapy.

Occupational Therapy Treatment

After throughout evaluation, Pediatric Occupational Therapy empowers your child to grow, learn, and thrive through engaging, purposeful experiences tailored just for them. Our personalized approach strengthens physical, sensory, and emotional skills—helping your child confidently navigate daily routines and reach their full potential.

Daily Curriculum

The Little Feathers Preschool uses the Frog Street Curriculum. This hands-on program aligns with key preschool learning goals and provides the children with the skills they need to succeed in school.

Speech-Language Therapy Assessment

Through various assessment tools, the evaluation highlights where things can improve and helps shape a more effective, client-centered approach.

Speech-Language Therapy Treatment

After a throughout evaluation, speech-language therapy supports your child’s ability to connect, express, and be understood by others through play-based, individualized care. With a focus on articulation, language development, and gestalt language processing, sessions are designed to build confident communication in a way that feels natural and joyful.

Parenting Classes

We offer parenting classes throughout the year to support families with practical tools, guidance, and connection.

What Our Families Say

“Choosing little feathers for my son was the best choice I could ever make as a mom! When we moved to Valley Center I was a little concerned with finding a daycare I was comfortable with, but as soon as my son turned 2 we enrolled him, he is 4 now! The teachers are sweet, helpful, and caring. Honestly, my son has 3 moms counting me! The classrooms are bright colorful and vibrant, they always look so clean in the daily pictures I receive! The school holds such awesome events during the year; my son especially loves water days! f you’re looking for a daycare to send your children to this is your place!”

“…I was calmed by the teachers attention to the kids and the curriculum which allows for the kids to learn through play. My kids loved going to school, they miss it now that my youngest has started Kindergarten and my eldest in 1st. They are now in private school which encourages the children academically. They were prepared socially, understood a classroom setting & schedule, and academically ready. My kids understood sight words, science themes, participating in class with confidence to present in class, how to count to 30, knew alphabet and sounds, enjoyed art with a variety of tools, appreciated music, all while still enjoying their childhood. As a parent there are many decisions we make that we may reflect on, this has been one of the best decisions my family have made….”

“LFP has literally been a lifesaver. Not only do they provide cultural experience for the kids, they also are hands-on with their education experience for the little ones. My daughter has been attending for almost 2 years and she has grown tremendously. She can identify all her letters, and sounds, numbers and much more. She also has great emotional regulation and they caught a speech delay that I was unaware of. She is fully ready for kindergarten thanks to all the amazing teachers that have helped her along the way I would highly recommend sending your little ones here.”
